These terms are an agreement between you and CodeLit, a company based in India, for your use of MediaLit at medialit.cloud: the website, the dashboard, the API, the CLI and the MCP server. By creating an account or using MediaLit, you agree to them. If you use MediaLit for a company, you agree on its behalf.
If you host MediaLit yourself, these terms don't apply. The open-source code is covered by its license, the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0.
You must be at least 16 to use MediaLit.
Keep your email account, API keys and CLI credentials safe. You're responsible for everything done with your account, including by AI agents and apps you connect to it.
Tell us right away at hi (at) codelit (dot) dev if you think someone else is using your account.
Your files stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy, process and serve them only as needed to run MediaLit for you, for example to create thumbnails or deliver public files through our CDN.
Anyone with the link can open a public file. Make a file private if it shouldn't be shared.
Uploads your app doesn't keep are deleted after 24 hours. When you delete a file, we delete it from storage.
Keep your own backups of files that matter to you. We work to keep your files safe, but we can't promise they will never be lost.
When you connect an AI assistant, the CLI or your own app, it acts on your behalf with the permissions you grant, and you're responsible for what it does. That includes uploading, sharing and deleting files. Third-party assistants are governed by their own terms.
Don't use MediaLit to store or share:
anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material;
content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
malware, phishing pages or anything meant to harm other people's devices or data;
personal data you have no right to share.
Also don't try to break into, overload or get around the limits of MediaLit, or resell it as a standalone file-hosting service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we'll report illegal content where the law requires.
The Free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on our pricing. When you reach your storage limit, new uploads are refused until you free up space or upgrade.
Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, and renew automatically until you cancel.
If you cancel, you won't be charged again. Payments already made are not refunded unless the law requires it.
We may change prices. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to your plan.
We work to keep MediaLit running, but it's provided "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or remove features. If we ever shut down the hosted service, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice to download your files.
You can stop using MediaLit at any time. To delete your account and your files, email us. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or don't pay, and where possible we'll warn you first and give you time to download your files.
To the extent the law allows, CodeLit isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about MediaLit is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. If you use MediaLit in a way that breaks these terms or the law, you're responsible for the claims that result.
Our privacy policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.
When these terms change, we update the date below. We'll email you about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using MediaLit after that, you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be handled by the courts of India.
